| What?! Why are you yelling at me for eating the pumpkin? |

Last night I had to break the news to my mom that I was hurt (again). It's been a while since I've had any injuries so my mom has been pretty excited...until now. She took one look at my right eye and immediately made me take 2 little pink pills (she called them Benadryl, but I don't know what that means - they were simply 2 pink treats to me!), and another little treat (something called Rimadyl -what is that? It tasted great!). Don't tell my mom, but I really liked these treats - even if I got them because my eye was hurt. Plus, my mom always tells me what a good girl I am when I get treats. She says that I'm the only girl she knows that eats these pink pills without any kind of coating. Hmm, I wonder what that means? I just like to eat anything that is a special treat - who needs a coating?

Some of you may remember that I have eaten a Duraflame log before (just so you know...it didn't go so well for me). Well, a few nights ago my mom and dad were acting very "sneaky" about something in the fireplace. They actually locked me out of the living room while they "took care of something"! As soon as they let me back in the living room, I was able to figure out what they were hiding from me - another Duraflame log!! Can you believe it? I LOVE these logs! Although, I have never tasted one that was on fire before...I just stood there, licking my lips and wimpering at the log. I tried to move the fireplace screen out of the way with my paw, but my parents told me to "Leave it alone!" Clearly, they don't know how good a Duraflame log tastes...well, until it starts to come back up...
PS...don't let Kramer know I posted this picture for everyone to see; I don't need him attacking me anymore than he already does!
My mom told me that Halloween is this weekend. I don't really know much about Halloween, but my mom bought me a new outfit to wear for the occasion, so it must be a good thing. My mom also told me that "little people" will probably come to our house for treats on Saturday. I think that is a great idea - I love treats! In fact, I got to eat a special treat today....my dad's cell phone. He didn't seem too happy with me. I guess he d
oesn't understand how tasty cell phones are.
Tonight my mom told me she met 2 wonderful ladies from G.R.E.A.T - the Golden Retriever Emergency Assistance Team - at the Cummer Museum's reception honoring The Dogs of Riverside and Avondale. My mom was overjoyed that my dad agreed to adopt/foster another Golden in December 2009. I'm not sure exactly what that means, but I think it means I get another playmate!! I am so excited! My mom tells me she is so excited to be affiliated with this wonderful group and is happy to help in any way. She was a little emotional tonight when she told me and Jackson the story of how we came to be rescued. It's been soooo long that I forgot my "old life". Now, Jackson and I play all day long and we love to snuggle and wrestle with our parents! We especially love our backyard (even though I am allergic to grass and most oak trees in our neighborhood). We sure do like living in Avondale!!! I would like to ask everyone to take a moment to support GREAT! Who knows, you may be supporting my new brother or sister!
Tonight my mom and dad are going to a reception for the book The Dogs of Riverside and Avondale, which features a story about me and my brother! My mom says the book is really good - full of wonderful stories about dogs in our neighborhood. I made sure to remind my mom to bring my business cards advertising this blog. I figure the more people who know about my misadventures the better! http://thedogsofriversideandavondale.com/
